Services for Minors 

Piercing Services

We DO offer some Piercing Services for Minors (infants - 17 yrs of age)

Per Texas law, we do NOT provide tattoo services for Minors, even with parental consent.

ALL piercing services completed are at the sole discretion of the Piercing Specialist, and we retain the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason.  Not all of our piercing specialists or apprentices offer piercing services to minors.

We will work closely with both the parent/legal guardian, as well as the minor, to ensure that the service(s) being performed are safe, consented, and fully explained for aftercare and healing responsibility.     If your child isn't ready or does not want the piercing, we support your child.

We do NOT provide piercing services on minors for genitals, nipples or surface piercings of any kind.  We also have some age restriction for other piercings to ensure that the health and optimal healing potential is supported for the minor.  For example, we only offer earlobes for infants to 14.  For minors 14-17, we offer some additional piercings like nostrils, navels, eyebrow, but only at the piercer's discretion based on anatomy check and responsibility checks.   Our commitment to safety is our top priority, and we will not perform services on minors that could be harmful in any way.

Requirements for Receiving Piercing Services for Minors:

- Consent

• Only a Parent or Legal Guardian may consent to services for minors.  

  • We cannot and will not allow Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Siblings or Friends over 18 to consent.   This is the Law - no exceptions.

• The Parent/Guardian and Minor (if of age) will both read, agree and sign a service consent form at the time of services.

 

- Documentation

• The following ORIGINAL documentation is Required to be presented to the studio at the time of service(s):

  • The Parent or Legal Guardian must provide a valid, legal ID (state or government issues, in date)​ and valid documentation that shows their relationship to the minor and that they have authorization to consent to the services being performed​​

  • Documentation that shows the relationship between the minor and the parent/legal guardian in the event that last names do not match, or if there is any potential question regarding the relationship and the ability for the parent/legal guardian to legally consent for services to be performed for their minor.

  • Birth Certificate of the minor receiving the service(s)

  • Identification for the minor in some form:

    • vaccination records​

    • birth certificate

    • passport

    • school id (with name and photo)

    • valid identification cards (ID cards, learners permits, drivers license, etc.)

 

- Responsibility

• The parent/legal guardian consenting for the services to be performed for the minor MUST remain present, in the studio, for the entire duration of the service (from check in at the front desk, through service completion, to the check out at the register). If the parent/guardian leaves the studio, the service is suspended. 

• Both the parent/guardian and minor must receive the aftercare instructions (verbally and in writing) at the time of services.  Proper, cooperative aftercare is critical to the success and longevity of your piercing(s)!  This is the start of a relationship that we take very seriously and want to see and celebrate your successes!
